Advance payment

For your registration to be valid, IEJ needs to receive advance payment.

The minimum advance payment for IJF 2022 is 35€, or the full sum due if it less than 35€.

After the advance payment is received, you will be sent confirmation that a place is available for you: only then will the registration be valid and official.

When you check in at the venue, you will need to show evidence of your registration, ID, and if the law does not change by then, a COVID-19 vaccination or recovery certificate.

If you withdraw your registration, the minimum advance payment will not be refunded. However, if the sum paid in advance exceeds the minimum, you have a right to a refund of the amount paid net of this sum, as long as you inform us of your withdrawal before 20/03/2022.

You can transfer your registration to another participant if you present a written document proving the transfer; however, the participant fee will be amended to correspond to the new participant. Multiple advance payments cannot be transferred to the same person.

Participation fees

The basic participation fee depends on three factors, outlined below.

Country of residence: countries are divided into four categories based on GDP and distance. The fee is lower the higher the category.

1. Andora, Austria, Belgium, Britain, Catalonia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Lichtenstein, Luxembourg, Principality of Monaco, Norway, Netherlands, San Marino, Sweden, Switzerland, Vatican City.

2. Czech Republic, Greece, Spain, Iceland, Cyprus, Malta, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia.

3. Australia, Brunei, Estonia, Hong Kong, Hungary, Israel, Japa, Canada, Croatia, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, New Zealand, Poland, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, USA.

4. All other countries.

• Registration period. There are two registration periods: 1. Until 16/03/2022 inclusive. 2. From 17/03/2022 to the end of the festival. The fee is higher in the second period.

• Age: there are four categories, each with fixed rates increasing with age. Children under 3 do not pay a fee. We use the age of participants on the first day of the festival, in this case 13/04/2022, to calculate the fee.

We would like to remind you then participants resident in Italy who are not members of the Italian Esperanto Federation (IEF) must pay a supplement detailed below. This is not included in the fee calculated based on the registration fee:

These are the basic fees, i.e. the fees for a 6-day stay. They include: accommodation (include bedsheets and towels and daily cleaning and disinfection); meals from the evening of the morning of 19th April; participation in the festival programme; use of external sport facilities and the swimming pool. These fees do not include the tourist tax of 50 cents per day, charged to all guests aged 11 or over by the region Friuli-Venezia Giulia. If you stay less than six days, the daily fee is a fifth of the basic fee. If you choose self-catering, a discount of 20 € is provided. However, we were not able to negotiate guaranteed access to a dedicated kitchen for self-catering participants. Additional services arealso available for the following fees:

NOTE: request letters of invitation as early as possible to allow time for your documentation to be processed by the authorities. We strongly recommend that participants who request a letter of invitation pay the full fee up front, as this means a visa is more likely to be granted. If you to not receive the visa, we will refund the difference between the full fee and the minimum advance payment.

Discounts

Four different types of discount are available for IJF 2022 (in addition to grants and any other agreements): 1. Contributions to the programme: participants who offer and manage events on the programme (theme-related or not). Generally, the discount is 10 euros per hour of contribution; 2. Assistance in organisation: participants who help the organisers managing the festival (bar, chill room etc.). The discount will be fixed on an ad-hoc basis; 3. IEJ subsidy: recipients of IEJ subsidies. 10% discount; 4. Group discount: discount which applies to participants coming from a local Esperanto group or as a group of six or more.
